I currently teach as Associate Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Arts and the MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics at the University of Washington-Bothell.  While here, I have witnessed tremendous growth of enrollment (since 2008, when I was hired, there has been a 160% increase in full time enrollments) and facilities.  I have been part of setting the foundations for this growth:  I have taught some of the first arts workshops and media production courses on this campus, and was involved in the creation and development of new areas and programs including Interdisciplinary Arts, Media and Communications Studies, Masters in Cultural Studies, MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics, and Interactive Media Design.  My teaching, throughout my career, has been interdisciplinary, with primary attention to the intersection of media and literature.  Because a lot of this teaching depends on technical resources, I have been involved with infrastructural development of media resources on all campuses where I have taught.  In some cases, as with University of Washington and University of South Carolina, I have introduced new digital production technology, labs and studio spaces where there had previously been none.  Syllabuses are not here, but available upon request.
